You can tell a lot about someone by the hoodie they wear.

Maybe it’s a college sweatshirt that’s been through four winters and too many laundry cycles to count. Maybe it’s a souvenir from a trip that still smells faintly like sunscreen. Or maybe — just maybe — it’s one of ours, soft and familiar from day one, with that lived-in feel you usually only get after years of wear.

Here at Oceancitylovee, we’re not just selling T-shirts and hoodies. We’re wrapping you in a little piece of the shore — a breeze off the boardwalk, a flash of gull wings over the water, the hum of summer nights when the air smells like salt and fries. Where It All Started

Every brand has its “origin story,” but ours isn’t glamorous. No celebrity endorsements. No big launch party. Just a small batch of tees printed in a cramped back room, a folding table at a street fair, and a whole lot of hope.

I’d always loved the way clothing could carry a memory. I still remember my first Ocean City hoodie — bought at a pier shop when I was 14. It was navy blue, a little oversized, and smelled faintly like sea air even after a wash. I wore it through high school, through bad haircuts, through nights studying with friends.

Years later, I decided to see if I could make something that would feel that way for someone else. Not just “merch” you buy and forget, but something that becomes part of your life’s snapshots.

So, with a small savings, a borrowed heat press, and a head full of designs, Oceancitylove was born. We sold those first hoodies to friends, neighbors, and anyone who stopped long enough to listen to our story. It was the kind of humble start that doesn’t make the news, but it made our hearts full.
